- One who finds it difficult to walk or climb stairs.
- One who is not permitted to climb stairs for medical reasons.
May an assistant operate the Shabbos Stairlift?
- Yes, ONLY if it is a benefit for the patient.
Is there any Issur Chillul Shabbos involved?
- No, as long as the Shabbos Stairlift is operated in accordance with these guidelines and in a manner described in the Shabbos instructions manual.
Is there any Issur Maares Eiyen?
- No as it is quite apparent that a special Shabbos device is being used
